Working closely with our Planning, Surveying, Civils and Installation teams, you'll help coordinate works, identify potential issues and ensure projects progress smoothly from planning through to completion.
What we offer our Pre-Enablement Cabling Engineers:
A starting salary between £30,000 - £33,000 dependent on experience.
25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days.

Enhanced family leave policies.
Staff broadband discount (75%).
High street discounts on 100+ brands.
Summer & Christmas team socials.
Career development opportunities - Whether you want to lead a team or learn new skills, we'll support your growth in our fast-moving business.
What You'll Be Doing as a Pre-Enablement Cabling Engineer:
Reading technical drawings and specifications to install fibre optic cabling.
Installing and overseeing overhead and underground fibre within Openreach PIA and Wessex Internet infrastructure.
Carrying out site surveys, identifying suitable routes and proposing alternatives where required.
Completing survey reports, gathering site data and producing as-built information.
Identifying additional resource requirements and arranging permits for highway and footway works.
Liaising with colleagues, customers and internal teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Maintaining high Health & Safety standards and promoting safe working practices.
What We're Looking For:
Ideally, 2+ years' experience installing network infrastructure, particularly within Openreach PIA.
Experience working with overhead and underground cabling, ideally within utilities, construction or street works.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
