We’re looking for a Network Mapper to join our HSEQ team and play an important role in ensuring the quality, compliance and accuracy of our fibre network build.

Working closely with our build and project teams, you’ll help make sure work carried out in the field meets our quality, health and safety and environmental standards. You’ll combine site-based auditing, data analysis and GIS mapping, helping us identify issues, manage defects and maintain accurate build records from the field through to project completion.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working both out on site and with data and systems, and who is confident communicating with different teams, contractors, landowners and local authorities.

What will you be doing as a Network Mapper?

• Carry out site audits and quality compliance checks, identifying defects, non-compliance and areas for improvement across the fibre build.

• Maintain and update GIS mapping and build data, ensuring information accurately reflects work completed in the field.

• Own the defect management process, tracking issues from identification through to resolution and final acceptance.

• Monitor compliance across build teams and provide clear reporting to Project Managers and senior colleagues, highlighting risks and issues requiring escalation.

• Produce toolbox talks and compliance guidance to support build teams in understanding and meeting required standards.

• Liaise with landowners, local authorities and operational teams, while supporting system integration and wider Build Assurance activities.

What will I need as a Network Mapper?

• Experience within civils, construction, utilities or fibre deployment, with an understanding of FTTP/fibre build processes and methodologies desirable.

• Strong IT and data skills, with the ability to learn and confidently use new systems, including GIS.

• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify inaccuracies, defects and compliance issues.

• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and practical approach to problem solving.

• A full UK driving licence and the ability to work outdoors and walk up to 10 miles per day when required.
